Hell's Kitchen returned on Wednesday night down in the ratings, while Extant hit a series low.
Though the numbers could change once President Barack Obama's live address is accounted for, NBC likely will still end up with the victory on the night with a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.99 million viewers, HitFix reports. America's Got Talent was steady with a 1.9 demo rating, while Taxi Brooklyn followed slightly up to close out the season with a 1.1 rating.
Fox tied NBC in the demo, but posted a much weaker audience with an average of 4.08 million viewers. Hell's Kitchen premiered down, suffering a huge dip down to a 1.5 demo rating for the night.
CBS followed in third place with a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.565 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Big Brother won the night with a slightly improved 2.4 demo rating. Halle Berry's struggling event series stumbled on the night to a series low with a 0.7 demo rating.
ABC went with encores for the night and averaged a 1.1 rating in the advertiser important demo and 3.84 million viewers. The usually steady freshman series Penn & Teller: Fool Us over on The CW lost ground from last week to a 0.5 rating.
