Swedish EDM DJ, Avicii- real name Tim Bergling, known for such hits as, "Wake Me Up," and "Hey Brother," has canceled all scheduled upcoming shows indefinitely, due to health concerns.
Billboard reported that all of Avicii's touring and promotional activities have currently been suspended.
Earlier in the year, the DJ had surgery to remove his gallbladder and appendix, and lingering issues from the surgery are what have forced him to cancel all of his scheduled shows. The same surgery also caused Avicii to cancel shows earlier in the year, including his headlining slot at the 2014 Ultra Music Festival, and his Las Vegas residencies during the month of April.
Avicii will be recovering at home in Stockholm, Sweden. The indefinite cancellation of any upcoming shows was announced on his 25th birthday, September 8, by At Night Management.
Up until the announcement, Avicii was regularly playing shows throughout the summer, tweeting, "A million thanks to all of u who made this summer the best in my life so far!! Ibiza, you will always have a special place in my heart <3."
