In the wake of Sons of Guns star Will Hayden being charged with molestation, new victims are coming forward and Hayden's former co-stars are speaking out as well.
In August we reported that Hayden was accused of molesting his daughter. This week, according to Fox News, a second victim also came forward saying the 49-year-old abused her more than two decades ago when she was 12.
Joseph Meaux, Hayden's co-star and the owner of Red Jacket Firearms LLC, which Sons of Guns is centered around, was shocked when the allegations first surfaced.
“Will vehemently denied them, said that [it was coming from] somebody with false allegations and there was no truth. I believed it. You don't want to believe somebody you have known over the last five years had the capability of doing that,” Meaux told Fox News.
But looking back over their friendship, Meaux realized that he did have reason to call Hayden's character into question.
“Will had his on-screen persona and his off-screen persona. His off-screen persona tried to [live in] the reality show and that is what caused a lot of conflicts and problems. I wanted to have a true firearms manufacturing company. Will wanted to have a drama manufacturing company. Those two had a conflict," he said.
Ultimately, Meaux said his loyalty would be with Hayden's daughter Stephanie, who is allegedly one of Hayden's victims, and his company Red Jacket Firearms.
“Stephanie has some demons she has to work through right now, and I am going to be as helpful as I can because she needs that support and needs that room... I am going to grow Red Jacket Firearms and we are going to continue as a company doing what we love," he said.
Since the allegations of rape, Red Jacket Firearms has ended all ties with Will Hayden and Discovery Channel has canceled Sons of Guns.
