Mary-Louise Parker could be returning to Showtime fairly soon to star in another series for the network, this time based off the memoirs of poet Mary Karr.
The hourlong drama project comes from Masters of Sex executive producers Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly, Deadline reports. The series would be their second period series for the premium cable network.
The site notes that the former Weeds star is interested in the project and should she sign up with Showtime, would also be an executive producer.
Karr is also on board the project as another executive producer and will help adapt her memoirs, which include Liars' Club, Cherry and Lit. The first book focused on her childhood in 1960s East Texas, with the other two examining her life as she grew older and struggled with alcoholism.
Parker is already set for a recurring role in the upcoming sophomore season of NBC's The Blacklist.
She will play Naomi Hyland who creator Jon Bokenkamp has previously said is "completely tied" to James Spaders' Red Reddington. Hyland is described as a strong woman who has done her best to keep her husband from discovering her dangerous secret.
