Nicki Minaj announces release of latest album 'The Pinkprint'

"Anaconda" rapper Nicki Minaj has remained pretty mysterious regarding the release date of her newest album, but she finally announced that fans can expect her forthcoming album, The Pinkprint to be released on November 24.

Tweet via Nicki Minaj's twitter.

The rapper also compared The Pinkprint to Jay-Z's 2001 release, The Blueprint, saying, "I really feel like this album will be a blueprint for female rappers to come, so that alone should tell you how confident I am about the music."

Minaj has given fans much to anticipate, releasing songs such as "Pills N Potions," "Chi-Raq" featuring Lil Herb, and her most recent release, "Anaconda," that she performed at the 2014 MTV VMAs. The New York rapper also collaborated with Beyonce on a "Flawless" remix that was released over the summer.

Another collaboration with hit singers, Jessie J and Ariana Grande, "Bang Bang," put all three artists on the Billboard 100, and was also performed at the 2014 MTV VMAs.

Nicki Minaj, born Onika Manaj, released her last official album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in April 2012, and it sold 1.4 million records world wide - less than half of what her album, Pink Friday ended up selling two years before it. But with all of the collaborations that she's been doing with multiple artists, as well as releasing her own singles, it's almost safe to say that The Pinkprint could really bring Minaj's record sales to a record high.

After all, the release of the "Anaconda" video broke a Vevo record, with it gaining 19.6 million clicks on just the first day it was released.
