New Jennifer Aniston film 'Cake' premieres at Toronto Film Festival

Cake, the latest film starring Jennifer Aniston, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival Monday.

Cake, which we reported on earlier, is an indie film that follows the story of a broken woman who is addicted to downing pills and drinking alcohol to try and alleviate the long lasting physical pain she endures every day.

"She basically has to decide whether she wants to live or die. The woman's journey is so heartbreaking but so uplifting, because she's gone through a trauma but maintains her wit, which is very endearing," Aniston said about her character in an interview with Variety.

Director Daniel Barnz required Aniston to wear no makeup when filming the movie so that she could stay true to the character, Variety also reported.

Aniston told Entertainment News that she loved not having to worry about putting on make up for the movie and felt liberated. She also shared a cool story about how she briefly experienced what its like to not be recognized in public when she strolled into Target in character one night after filming. "We were shooting a night shoot...and we decided what the hell, let's strut on into this Target and see what happens. Nobody recognized me! It was pretty awesome.

Cake also stars Anna Kendrick and Sam Worthington.
