Miniseries based on Carrie Underwood's 'Two Black Cadillacs' in works

A miniseries is in development at Fox based on Carrie Underwood's 2012 song, "Two Black Cadillacs."

The song will be adapted into a 6-hour event series with the former American Idol winner on board to executive produce and Jerry Bruckheimer as producer, E! News reports. Ildy Modrovich will write the script.

According to Deadline, who first broke the news, the series comes from Warner Bros. TV and Jerry Bruckheimer TV. The series will follow a mistress and wife who find out they are in love with the same guy and decide to kill him.

Underwood wrote "Two Black Cadillacs" with Hillary Lindsey and Josh Kear for her album Blown Away.

Last week it was announced that Underwood was expecting her first child with husband Mike Fisher. The country singer made the announcement through Instagram with a photo featuring her two dogs wearing little shirts with the caption, "I'm getting to be a big brother/sister."
