Mike Tyson blasts reporter over rape conviction question after endorsing Rob Ford

Mike Tyson doesn't want to be reminded about his past rape conviction and blasted a reporter on TV Wednesday for mentioning it while discussing his endorsement of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.

CP24 news host Nathan Downer spoke with Tyson both about his new one-man show Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth and about his decision to endorse the embattled Toronto mayor. Unfortunately he decided to mentioned the former boxer's 1992 rape conviction, which did not sit well with Tyson at all, CBC News reports.

"Some of your critics would say ... we know you're a convicted rapist, this could hurt his campaign," the host said. "How do you respond to that?"

Tyson bristled at that. "It's so interesting to me that you come across like a nice guy but you're really a piece of s--t," that comment. F--k you. That was a piece of s---t."

Downer tried to ask Tyson to tone down his language, but he wasn't about to back off, responding with, "What are you going to do about it?" The short interview then closed with Tyson simply uttering, "F--k you."

According to the New York Daily News, on Tuesday, Tyson spoke positively about Ford, who surprisingly continues to seek reelection despite his drug controversies.

The former boxer said that Ford is "the best mayor in Toronto's history," and noted that no one is perfect. "Human beings have a problem with being real with themselves ... We all make mistakes."
