Iconic wrestler Hulk Hogan opened a restaurant called Hogan's Beach this past year in Tampa, Florida, but some new dress code rules have people wondering exactly what kind of message is Hogan trying to send to visitors.
According to TMZ, Hogan's Beach has a standard shirts and shoes required policy. That's not all though. When you read further down the list, you'll notice that the dress code also prohibits over sized t-shirts, baggy attire, low hanging shorts, bandannas and excessive jewelry.
"This is a beach party and beach attire is required," the notice reads in front of the Florida restaurant. It seems that this beach party's mission is to exclude particular demographics from joining in on the fun.
TMZ also reported that they checked in with Hulkamania to see if he knew about his restaurant's dress code policy. Hogan - who always wears bandannas himself and is even pictured wearing one in the restaurant's logo - stated that he simply allows his name to be used for the restaurant and that he would be inquiring about the dress code.
Manager Cori Bryce explained to ABC Action News that it was actually a third party promotional company that wanted to enforce the dress code for a specific event and assured visitors that the sign would no longer be posted.
“We actually don't have a dress code here at Hogan's Beach. That was for a specifically themed beach party,” Bryce said. “We want everyone from the community to come out here and feel like they can enjoy themselves,” said Bryce.
It's a good thing the restaurant removed the dress code enforcement sign because its rules would have prevented even Hulk himself from entering the restaurant.
