Directed by Andrew Stanton, and released on June 23, 2008, WALL-E focuses on a robot designed to clean waste from the abandoned Earth in the future. WALL-E falls in love with another robot EVE who is also on a mission. Together they reach outer space on an adventure that saves their race as well as humankind. WALL-E went on to score 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, won several awards namely the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. TIME ranked as the best movie of the decade. The film grossed $521.3 million globally.
