“Best Days of Your Life” singer Kellie Pickler has revealed she is working on a fifth album!
Pickler got her start in the music industry after appearing as a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol. Although the “Little Bit Gypsy” singer finished in sixth place, she has released four successful studio albums, Small Town Girl, Kellie Pickler, 100 Proof, and The Woman I Am.
Following the success of her most recent album, Pickler has revealed she currently working on an upcoming fifth album, admitting she is excited for her fans to hear her new music.
“We're in the very early stages of working on it," Pickler told Billboard. "It's always great to have new music out – to freshen up the set list, and it's exciting for the country fans. They are always eager to have new music.”
The “Red High Heels” singer later revealed the process of creating an album “takes months,” explaining that by the time the album is ready to be released, she is ready to start working on the next one.
"It's interesting that when you're working on an album, you pretty much live with it for the year that you're working on it,” she added. “Then you send it off for the copies to be made, and the artwork to be produced and distributed. So you've lived with the album for almost a year before anyone hears it. Then, by the time it comes out, you're ready for the next one, because you're sung it a million times -- but not for anyone outside of your circle."
Pickler is currently finishing up her summer tour and will be performing alongside Amy Grant for the “Eat. Drink. Party Pink” event to raise awareness for breast cancer, which will take place on Sept. 30.
