Sidney Crosby to have arthroscopic surgery

When the best player in the world scores only one goal in 13 playoff games, something must be bothering him. Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby, who posted an NHL-best 104 points in the regular season will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist within the next few days.
He denied that the he was injured during the playoffs in his postgame press conference after the Penguins got knocked out by the New York Rangers. A source close to Crosby reported that the injury is not major but does hinder his performance, according to The Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

He has claimed the Hart Memorial Trophy twice and the Ted Lindsay Award three times. He has won the last two Lindsay Awards, which is given to the Most Outstanding Player. The Hart Trophy is the league MVP award, reports hockey-reference.com .
In 2014, he netted 36 goals, including five game-winners. He also dished out 68 assists, as he led the Penguins to the second best record in the Eastern Conference. They fell in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to the Rangers after leading the series 3-1.
