Pink Floyd ending 20-year break with new album, 'The Endless River'

After a 20 year period, the band, Pink Floyd has announced that fans can expect a new album. The Endless River is expected later this year.

According to the band’s official website, the album features music based on the Division Bell sessions that were recorded in 1993 and 1994. Spokesman Doug Wright said that the new album will be released in October.

Pink Floyd confirmed on their Twitter page.

The Endless River will include ambient and instrumental music. It is produced by David Gilmour with Phil Manzanera, Youth, and recording engineer, Andy Jackson. The Endless River features Pink Floyd band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright, who died in 2008. Roger Waters is not involved in the latest effort, according to the Associated Press.

Pink Floyd made their name with albums like The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. They also performed at the 2005 Live 8 charity concert.
