The original film Guilty at 17, starring Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101), will premiere tonight at 7PM EST on Lifetime.
Sanders makes a comeback to the television screen as Traci, a young high school student whose friends convince her to lie about a teacher, Mr. Adams, sexually harassing another student, Devon Cavanor. TV Impulse reports that although Traci thought she was doing a good deed for a friend, her false confession leads to a string of events that cause her to become close with June Gailey (Alex Paxton-Beesley), a substitute teacher at the high school who is hiding that she is the sister of Mr. Adams. However, when Devon feels as though Traci might confess her lies, she attempts to stop her.
Guilt at 17 also stars Catherine Dent (Fox’s The Shield), Michael Woods (All My Children), and Chloe Rose (Degrassi alongside Sanders and Paxton-Beesly in the two-hour thriller.
Sanders, who has most recently appeared on Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush and ABC Family’s Melissa & Joey, expressed to TV Grapevine that Guilty at 17 is incredibly special film for her because she holds the leading role.
