Huston Street traded to the Angels

The Los Angeles Angels have been on a tear recently, closing out the first half of the season with 10 wins in their last 11 games. And now they have added an elite closer by trading for San Diego’s Huston Street.
Street, a two-time All-Star, has saved 258 games in his career. Over the last two and a half years, he has recorded 80 saves for the Padres. He holds a career ERA of 2.87, according to FOX Sports .
The 2005 AL Rookie of the Year saved a career-best 35 games in 2009 as a member of the Colorado Rockies. He has successfully saved 92.5 percent of his save opportunities.
This season, he has recorded 24 saves with a 1.09 ERA.
This trade was the third move Los Angeles has made in past month to bolster its bullpen. The Angels traded for Pittsburgh’s Jason Grilli and Arizona’s Joe Thatcher.
The Angels also acquired Trever Gott, a right-handed pitcher who is currently in Double-A.
The Padres acquired four prospects in the trade. They are Taylor Lindsey, R.J. Alvarez, Jose Rondon and Elliot Morris. Lindsey and Rondon are hitters, while Alvarez and Morris are pitchers, reports MLB.com.
