First look at Yaya DaCosta in Lifetime's Whitney Houston biopic released

Yaya DaCosta channels the late Whitney Houston in the first look at Houston’s bio-pic. She recreated the “I Look To You” singers’ Whitney album cover.

Yaya DaCosta is best known for being the runner-up to Eva Marcelle on Tyra’s Banks’ America’s Next Top Model and for starring in hit movies such as The Kids Are Alright, Tron: Legacy, and The Butler. Know she is cast as the leading role in the new Lifetime bio-pic I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story, playing the Grammy award winning singer.

The BBC reported that the bio-pic will be directed by Academy Award nominee Angela Bassett. Bassett was also a close friend of the pop star and co-starred with her in the movie Waiting to Exhale.

The bio-pic will depict the life and career of the New Jersey beauty that includes her groundbreaking debut, the song that catapulted her career to a level unimaginable, as well as her turbulent marriage to RnB singer Bobby Brown.
