Pitch Perfect entertained the world, allowing for viewers to get an inside glimpse into the competitive world of a cappella singing. Now that the sequel to the film is officially in the works, director Elizabeth Banks revealed a little more information as to what fans should expect.
Since the announcement of the sequel, the cast has revealed small hints about the film, but Banks' most recent interview is enough to get fans hyped.
The director, along with other cast members, recently sat down with The Today Show to discuss the sequel in further detail.
Banks, director and co-star of Pitch Perfect 2, explained to Today, “because the people loved the first film so much, I definitely feel a lot of responsibility to the fans, to my fellow actors, and I mean, shouldering it every day. But it’s going great. [The Bellas] have gotten too big for their britches, possibly, literally. And they’ve sort of forgotten about the music a little bit.”
While many fans are still speculating the details of the film, they will have to patiently wait until the release of Pitch Perfect 2 in May of 2015.
