Theresa continued to cover her tracks. Brady decided it was time to make a change. Hope and Abe wanted to get to the bottom of things. Sami had a breakdown regarding her revenge against EJ and Abigail. Will thought it was time to strike back. Jennifer confronted Eve and Daniel. EJ received a surprise when he came home from jail. Rafe came to a realization about Kate. Paige and JJ had a disaster date. Jordan and Ben were harassed by Clyde about his money.
Nicole dreamt of Eric in her hotel room. Reality hit when her alarm went off forcing her to realize it was just a dream. Feeling lonesome, she called Daniel up to grab coffee. The doctor claimed he was busy. He hinted she should check out the news. Not knowing about John, she assumed he talked about Sami making things about herself. He accused her of being selfish before he hung up. Eric dropped by knowing she was covering the story on EJ and Sami. She agreed to show restraint toward his sister, suggesting they could be friends again. They relayed their history with Nicole angrily saying he can't forgive her but has no problem asking her for favors. He sniped that she never loved him prompting her to strike at him. He grabbed her arm where the two are too close for comfort.
Jennifer answered the door to Eve before closing it in her face. As she walked away, Eve stormed in, and they shout over each other. She wanted Jenn to talk to another producer to make more money. Eve mentioned doing what was best for their kids. She hated all the fighting. Jennifer accused her of using their children as pawns to get what she wanted. She physically threw the woman out of her house and locked the door. A defeated Eve stormed off.
Daniel checked on Brady while he sat at John's bedside. Brady didn't understand how he could do something like this. Meanwhile, Theresa remembered hitting John with the poker. Abe and Hope arrived, waiting for her to repeat her story. While she defended herself, Abe mentioned two prints were lifted off the poker. Brady's and part of Victor's, suggesting the poker was wiped before police arrived. Theresa mentioned the mansion having maids, and they moved on to why she moved Brady and John. Before any more questions could be asked, Aiden arrived as Brady's lawyer. Hope is stunned to learn Brady and Theresa were married. Brady claimed to not need a lawyer, saying he was guilty. Theresa saw Aiden off, while Brady said he wanted to be left alone. He told the detectives he has no recollection of what happened, nor could he understand how it was self-defense. They took note of how he wasn't wearing his wedding ring, yet he married Theresa last night. They assume she was the reason for the argument between him and his father. Daniel arrived and informed everyone John was stable but slipping deeper into a coma. It is possible he may never wake up.
Eve found a panicked Theresa in a community room. When she spilled her coffee on her "tacky dress," Theresa bit back at her sister, throwing her out of the room. Brady went to see John, while Daniel handed his case to the staff for long-term care. He decided to go to the pub for food. Eve eavesdropped while he and Maxine talked about him going home to sleep. Eve followed him to the pub.
Aiden returned to the hospital to see Hope. We remembered their romantic moment once more from the gala and things were still awkward between the two. He claimed to be visiting more clients. They were interrupted by Abe and Theresa as she took her lawyer aside, suggesting Abe was putting words in her mouth. She visited John and remembered their fight. Brady asked if she was lying and she refuted his question. She hugged him, and he decided something had to change. Abe and Hope noted Theresa's panic and suggested she committed the crime. They decided to wait for Brady or John to back up her story. Hope and Aiden concurred that they shouldn't be meeting alone anymore. Maxine told Jennifer where Daniel was, hoping the two would finally get back together.
Eve caught up with Daniel at the pub, feigning surprise to see him there. The two talked about Theresa and their kids. Eve held on to his arm, while Jennifer jealously watched from the window outside.

EJ was released on bail where he arrived home looking for Sami. He begged for another chance, before Kate opened the doors, revealing she and Sami shared the house. He was shocked to see the new portrait of the two women. He placed a call to have Sami call him. Kate warned him that if he or Stefano tried anything, word would spread about the two of them getting duped by her and Sami. The board at DiMera would turn on them. She left to get a restraining order on the DiMera men.
A confused Sami found Marlena with John at the hospital. Roman and Marlena attempted to explain what happened before Roman left to take a call. Sami learned Brady was responsible, and that the doctors believed John wouldn't recover. Marlena told her daughter not to give up on somebody you loved, even in crisis.
Paige met JJ at the park. They discussed their issues and worried about trust. JJ assured her she could trust him. She wanted time to think before leaving for community service.
Jenn barged into the pub to confront Eve and Daniel. He was confused as to what was going on. While he left to take a call, Jenn accused Eve of going after Daniel just to spite her. Eve decided to leave. When Daniel finished his call, he asked Jennifer what was going on, but she just left.
Eric and Nicole were still close at her place before Bishop White called Eric to St. Luke's. Nicole asked to wait before they saw the story about John Black on the news. They read it and Eric left. Nicole called Brady.
Daniel followed Jennifer home and understood Eve and Theresa were sisters, but couldn't get why she felt betrayed. Jenn explained the lawsuit, and he learned about her high school rivalry with his former patient. He wondered why she didn't tell him before he left. Jenn called Aiden about the lawsuit.
Sami arrived home to find her husband out on bail. She told him to get lost, so she could focus on work. He tried to talk about their children, but she scoffed. She told him to get his things and leave because they were finished. He didn't care; he wanted to be with her because he loved her. He understood she wanted to punish him. She laughed, saying she planned on punishing Abigail and annihilating him and his father. Caroline walked in, yelling at them to stop it. She told EJ to leave, but he only wanted another chance. Sami assumed her grandmother was going to tell her off, but that wasn't why she was there. Sami wanted EJ to pay, but Caroline believed she still loved him.
Eve entered the park, commenting on how she wanted the summer to be perfect for her daughter. Paige questioned her mother when she saw her with JJ. Eve left, and Paige told JJ community service was cancelled for the day. He told her what Eve said, making Paige say she didn't want to give up on them.
Eric saw John at the hospital. His parents filled him in on what happened. Nicole met with Roman, who told her Brady was in an AA meeting. He refused to say more on the subject to her. Eric prayed for acceptance for what God's will would be.
Eve ran into Daniel at the square where she claimed she had no idea he knew about Jennifer. He explained Jenn had a right to be angry. He knew about the lawsuit and was surprised Theresa never mentioned him. She made him feel used and took off.
Paige returned home where Eve approved of her relationship with JJ. Jennifer was the only issue.
JJ arrived at the Horton house where Jennifer told him the lawsuit was being taken to court.
Nicole saw Daniel at the hospital, but he didn't want to talk to her. Nicole assumed it was about a woman.

Jordan and Ben discussed their situation with Clyde. She didn't want to put Rafe in the middle.
Kate and Clyde met up at the Brady pub. He told her about the reunion with his kids, and it was hard to tell which side was happier. He asked about Rafe - he was aware of her history with him. He wanted Kate's help to break up his daughter and the cop.
Rafe ran into EJ and Johnny, the latter being very happy to see him. They discussed his day camp. Johnny went off, and Rafe commented on being happy that Sami finally kicked EJ to the curb. Caroline consoled her granddaughter as she cried. She hated EJ, but wondered why she still loved him. She thought they would be a family, but never suspected this would happen. She felt like a bomb went off when she received the photos from Nick. It was the first time she cried since she found out. She claimed she was surviving. She commented on how EJ thought he had gotten away with it. She always saw him kissing Abby. Caroline didn't approve of her revenge scheme. She reminded Sami she knew what it was like to be EJ. She cheated on Grandpa Shawn with Victor, but they were able to get through it. She believed Sami would pay with all the revenge plotting. She had been through worse. They hugged, and Caroline left. Allie arrived and showed Sami her project, which focused on Sami and EJ's wedding day. She said they were officially a family. Sami was overcome with emotion. Allie also showed her the origami cranes she and EJ were making. Sami was touched. EJ and Johnny returned home; Johnny went upstairs, while EJ went to Sami.
Kayla and Hope discussed the gala at the hospital. Aiden arrived, and it was obvious to Kayla that something was going on between the two. Kayla was called away, and things were still awkward. Kayla returned as Aiden left. She knew Hope had a thing for the lawyer. Hope stated she hadn't betrayed Bo, and she didn't have feelings for Aiden.
Rafe found Kate at the pub where he informed her he would tell Jordan about their one-night stand. The truth would come out anyway. Kate said no one knew, but Rafe didn't care. He asked why she teamed up with Sami to take over DiMera Enterprises. She did it for money - and him. It was a form of payback.
Clyde stopped by the club. He took Jordan out, so Ben and Abigail discussed EJ. He said he didn't judge her.
Aiden arrived at Jenn's for the status report on JJ's community service. He talked about his shaky relationship with Paige because of the lawsuit. They spoke of not rushing into marriage as it could be a big mistake. He apologized for going overboard.
Clyde took Jordan into the woods and spoke of doing what was best for the kids after her mother passed. He wanted to make it up to her and Ben. She just wanted him to leave them alone. He couldn't.

Aiden found out Chase took a video of him and Hope dancing at the gala. He questioned his son, but thought nothing of it. He did enjoy dancing with Hope, but it was just a dance.
Hope told Ciara they were going to Mount Rushmore. Ciara wanted to go to New Orleans because of Bo. Hope changed their tickets. Aiden and Chase arrived, and Ciara bragged about going on vacation. She wanted the two men to join them. Hope and Aiden refused. As they left, Hope reminded Ciara to check with her before inviting other people on trips. Hope left her purse, so Aiden returned it. It was still awkward. Chase asked to go to his mother's beach house because he missed it. Aiden muttered he didn't.
Ben told Abigail about Clyde and Jordan being his family that left eight years ago. He wanted to know how Clyde found them.
Jordan snapped that Clyde's money was dirty. Clyde argued it was for their new life, but Jordan bit back she already had that.
Rafe was surprised that Kate took revenge on her ex-husband for him. He thought their affair meant nothing to her, but realized she cared more for him than a friend should. It made telling Jordan more complicated. Kate agreed they shouldn't say anything to her.
Will informed Sonny that his editor wanted him to write the story on Sami and EJ. He was only going to talk about the tax evasion and Sami taking over DiMera. Nothing about EJ's cheating. He would be able to control the amount of pain his mother would go through.
Sami recalled forgiving EJ for many of his past crimes involving their children and her family. He sacrificed everything for her when she shot Bernardi. EJ wished he could take the fling with Abby back. She allowed him to hold her hand, but the moment was ruined when Johnny burst in talking about Abigail. He wanted to bake cupcakes with her, but EJ said they would bake with mommy. Johnny argued Abigail's cupcakes were better, even he liked them. EJ sent Johnny away, and Sami sneered. She was thankful for her son preventing her from making a big mistake. She couldn't wait to destroy him, his father, and Abigail.
Sonny and Will took Arianna to the club where they saw Abigail. Ben took off, so she had to face her cousins. They didn't hold a grudge against her for what happened. Will did some bad things in the past. They asked how Ben reacted when she told him, but she said Sami beat her to it. Will raced off to confront his mother. Sonny believed Abby was a victim, but she denied it.
Clyde lost too much time with his kids. He tried to be affectionate toward Jordan, but Ben stopped him. Clyde stated he wasn't leaving. They had to work through their issues. After he left, Ben told Jordan they had to tell the police. Rafe arrived for their talk, but Ben told him some other time. Clyde was on the phone talking to someone about what to do if his kids didn't pay yet.
Will arrived at the mansion to talk with Sami about attacking Abigail. EJ left to get cupcakes with Johnny from the pub. Will commented on his mother and EJ imploding every six months with no help from anyone. He mentioned the cabin and Abby wanting to talk to Hope about Nick as the source of deception. Sami said it was an on-going affair, and she wanted to make Abby pay. He reminded her about walking in on her and EJ going at it on the couch while she was married to Rafe. He called her a bigger s***, making Sami slap him. She said it was different, but he warned her. He left.
EJ and Johnny got cupcakes at the pub. Kate came along when Johnny mentioned Abigail and took the men home.

Paige prepared for her date with JJ at home. Eve wished Paige had told her Daniel and Jennifer used to date. It caused an issue as they were getting to be very friendly. Paige thought she swore off men, but Eve said they were just friends. Paige scoffed, but Eve was not one to like being alone. She advised Paige to be careful with her heart.
JJ thanked Daniel for the guitar at home. He groaned about the feud between his mom and Eve. Daniel knew and spoke of not seeing Eve anymore since she wasn't a patient. JJ was happy to hear it and hoped Daniel and his mom would reunite. He shot the idea down, but JJ didn't like it or Abigail's issues and the lawsuit. Daniel said the bad times wouldn't last. Paige arrived and they talked about her mother hitting on Daniel. She defended Eve because she never told her about his mom's relationship with the doctor. JJ accepted it, and they started to make-out on the couch. Paige remembered Eve's warning and asked JJ to stop. He didn't listen, so she forced him off of her and stormed out. He stared at his father's photo.
Nicole approached Jennifer at the club, who's dismissive of her. Jenn mentioned the lawsuit and Nicole sympathized. She wanted to apologize for the issues she and Daniel had. Jenn wasn't sure what to believe and didn't have time to figure it out. Nicole tried to atone for her actions, which was more than she could say for Jenn. They sniped, but Aiden broke it up. Nicole commented on Jenn not being good enough for Daniel before leaving. Aiden told Jenn they could get the case thrown out completely, making her hopeful. So far, things were good.
Eric kissed Bishop White's hand when he arrived for his meeting. The case took an interesting turn as it was heavily scrutinized by the media. Because of this, a drastic step needed to be taken. Eric was shaken as what needed to be done to make himself look good. Eric wanted to talk with Brother Timothy first. Eric left, and Nicole arrived. The bishop wanted her and Eric to go to the Vatican to prove his innocence.
Brady sat with John in the hospital when Maggie arrived. He cried that he lost control under the influence. He went to several AA meetings and hadn't been tempted to take a drink. Maggie was proud of what he accomplished. In the community room, Victor and Theresa argued about her marriage to Brady. He vowed to destroy her, but she fought back with righteous indignation. Brady and Maggie interrupted the dispute. Maggie led her husband away, and Brady assumed Victor threatened her. She could handle the Greek. They agreed it would be best to annul their marriage and go their separate ways. She was floored. He just wanted to stay sober. Abe met with Maggie and Victor, asking about Brady. Daniel arrived to take Maggie home. Victor hoped Abe wouldn't arrest his grandson. Brady intervened, and Abe informed them he may be charged with attempted murder.
Daniel told his mother he would be out of town for a medical conference. He was also going to visit Melanie with Parker. He spoke of unintentionally hurting Jennifer by hanging out with Eve. Maggie was shocked, but Daniel told her not to worry. He ran into Jennifer as he was leaving. Maggie told her of Daniel's travel plans.
Eric told Caroline at the pub about his meeting with the Bishop. He had to go see the Pope about his case.
Eve found Theresa in the square planning a trip to Los Angeles. She was worried about her sister's latest. stunt.
