Leonardo DiCaprio said that he’ll be giving $7 million to marine conservation. The Titanic actor, who used to want to be a marine biologist, said that the money will go towards preserving oceans. He spoke with Secretary of State John Kerry at the Our Ocean conference in Washington, DC.

President Obama announced that at least one American was shot down on Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. The airplane was shot down over the Ukraine. The President called the disaster an “outrage of unspeakable proportions.”

TNT will be renewing the popular drama, The Last Ship. Major Crimes and Falling Skies have also gotten a nod from the network, given their ratings. Major Crimes is averaging 7 million viewers in Live 7 data. Falling Skies boasts 5.5 million viewers.

Country music star Tim McGraw appeared to slap a female fan during an Atlanta concert. Things got out of hand during a performance of the song “Truck Yeah” at a concert in Atlanta. A spokesperson for the country music star said McGraw was trying to keep the woman from ripping his jeans.

Friday movies are set to open. Jason Segel steps will be starring along with Cameron Diaz in the film, Sex Tape. Celebrities are hoping for big box office numbers, as they battle against last week’s Planet of the Apes movie.
