Chad Johnson is back to his old tricks, scoring touchdowns and entertaining fans with his celebrations.
Johnson scored his first touchdown in the Canadian Football League (CFL) on Friday. It was a 46-yard strike from quarterback Troy Smith. After the score, Johnson hugged one of the referees, who did not return the favor. After the embrace, Johnson dropped to his left knee and continued the celebration with his teammates, reports NBC Sports .
The touchdown gave his team (the Montreal Alouettes) a 7-3 lead over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the first quarter. The Blue Bombers went on to win the game by a final score of 34-33.
His last regular season touchdown came in Dec. 2011 as a member of the New England Patriots on a 33-yard snag from Tom Brady.
Johnson, 36 years old, played 11 seasons in the NFL, suiting up for the Cincinnati Bengals for the first decade of his career. He recorded 766 reception and 67 touchdowns in the NFL, according to pro-football-reference.com .
