Actresses Lindsay Lohan and Ashley Tisdale are celebrating their birthdays today.

Actress, model, producer and recording artist Lindsay Lohan turns 28 today. She started out as a fashion model at the age of three, and was later featured on the soap opera Another World when she was 10. At 11, Lohan made her film debut in Disney's remake of The Parent Trap, which became a critical and commercial hit. Her next film, Disney's remake of Freaky Friday, was also a success at the box office and with critics. Lohan's career became more prominent after her role in Mean Girls (2004).
Lohan's debut studio album, Speak, was released in 2004 and is certified platinum. Her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), was released in 2005 and is certified gold. That same year, Lohan starred in Disney's Herbie: Fully Loaded, and in 2006, she received positive reviews on her work in independent films, including A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby.
In 2008 and 2009, Lohan worked as a fashion model and launched the clothing line 6126. She resumed her acting career with recurring appearances in the television series Ugly Betty in 2008, and starred in the TV film Labor Pains in 2009. She was featured in Robert Rodriguez's feature film Machete.
Lohan went into rehabilitation three times, and spent much of her time entangled in legal problems stemming from misdemeanors and probation violations. In 2012 and 2013, she did further television work, including starring as Elizabeth Taylor in the television film Liz & Dick. In 2013, she starred in Paul Schrader's independent film The Canyons. She most recently had an eight part television documentary series on OWN entitled Lindsay. In June 2014, it was announced that she will make her stage debut by starring in the well-known West End production of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow, portraying the role of Karen.

Actress, singer, and producer Ashley Tisdale turns 29 today. During her childhood she appeared in more than 100 television advertisements and had roles in theater and television shows, including Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody in 2004. Tisdale rose to prominence in 2006 as Sharpay Evans in the television film High School Musical. The series became a successful franchise that included three films, a spin-off and numerous soundtrack albums. Tisdale's resultant popularity led her to sign a solo record deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2006. Her debut album Headstrong was released in 2007 and is certified gold. Two years later, Tisdale released her second studio album, Guilty Pleasure.
Tisdale has a main voice role in the Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning animated series Phineas & Ferb as Candace Flynn. Her other notable roles include the telvision series Hellcats, Scary Movie 5 and Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2014.
After forming a production company in 2008, Tisdale began working as the executive producer on films and television series including the ABC Family television film Picture This and the comedy series Young & Hungry, as well as the Bravo's 2012 unscripted series Miss Advised.
