Boston Red Sox dismantle Houston Astros 11-0

The Boston Red Sox had a convincing victory against the Houston Astros on Sunday. It was a lopsided score as the Red Sox dismantled the Astros 11-0.

In the past five games, the Red Sox have won four of them. They put together a good stretch before the all-star break.

Team manager John Farrell recognizes that his team has been on a good mini run over the past couple of games. He addressed his feelings to the media after Sunday’s game.

Farrell said, "We recognize the struggles of the first half, but to go into the break with some momentum, it's something that we are hopeful we'll continue to build on,” reports the Boston Herald.

Despite the team playing great baseball in a small stretch run, they are still nine games behind a .500 record, and are currently in last place in the American League East division, according to MLB.com. They have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to make a playoff push in the second half of the season.

The Red Sox do not play a regular season game until Friday July 18. They will square off against the Kansas City Royals, which will take place in Boston.
