Louis Suarez, a famous soccer player who plays for Uruguay, bit his team opponent Giorgio Chiellini during the FIFA world cup game when playing versus Italy.

The Washington Post reveals that the Uruguay forward allegedly bit into the left shoulder of the Italy defender during an important group-stage soccer game. In the past, Suarez was also banned for biting opponents in Netherlands and England. FIFA made an announcement of a disciplinary case against Suarez. Martin Hong, a member of the FIFA disciplinary panel had this to say, "We have to resolve this either today or tomorrow."

According to ABC News,FIFA announced that the disciplinary committee is gathering information to take a look into the matter. This includes interviewing witnesses, referees, audio and video recordings, and finally from Suarez himself, if he decides to speak-up.
Suarez was not sanctioned for the incident in spite of Chiellini pulling down his jersey to show his bite-mark to the referees. Even after the game, Suarez refused to comment or respond to any questions. He decided to walk past the journalists, smiled and gave them a thumbs up.
According to the FIFA rules, Suarez could face a ban of at least two matches, and a maximum ban of up to two years.
