World leaders are taking steps to end the volatility in the region, and have ordered a cease fire until Friday morning. The United Nations believes that from April 15 to June 20, 423 people, including servicemen and civilians, have been killed in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukraine is planning to sign a sweeping trade agreement with the EU. This is a major decision by the current president Poroshenko, and will help to strengthen the economy of the Ukraine. The previous president decided not to sign the agreement, before he was sent into exile.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that Russia will support his peace plan “with deeds, not words,” according to the Associated Press.
