Rupert Grint, who is best known for his role in the Harry Potter series, is looking ahead to a career on Broadway. Producers for the upcoming revival "It's Only A Play" have cast Grint. The play is currently Broadway-bound.
Associated Press reported that Grint will be making his Broadway debut surrounded by some of the greats in the industry including; Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Stockard Channing, Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham and Emmy winner Megan Mullally.
"It's Only a Play," was previously on Broadway back in 1986. The show is set on the eve of a play's opening night and features a nervous playwright trying to navigate and deal with Broadway spoiled types as the play is awaiting its first review.
The play is set to open on Oct. 9 and will be featured at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
Even though this is the first time that Grint will be seen on Broadway, he recently made his West End debut in 2013 in the revival of Jez Butterworth's "Mojo."
Variety added that Grint's fellow Potter co-star, Daniel Radcliffe, also took to Broadway following his time in the Harry Potter films.
