Thanks to his success in the Marvel franchise, actor Robert Downey Jr. has been able to move away from his days of heavily publicized drug and alcohol addictions and numerous brushes with the law. But it appears that he'll be returning to some familiar territory, at least relating to the former, for one of his next projects.
As Deadline reports, both Robert and his wife, Susan are working on a rehab show for Showtime. Set in Venice Beach in 1983, according to Variety, the show will follow various lives within the rehab and therapy community.
The show will developed under their banner, Team Downey, alongside Sony Pictures TV. Executive producing and penning at least the initial script will be Gary Lennon (Orange is the New Black).
As an actor, Downey is currently re-praising his role as Tony Stark, as he is busy filming The Avengers: Age of Ultron. He was also recently seen in Chef and will soon be seen in The Judge on October 10.
