Ed Sheeran took a moment to discuss his new album, X.
Sheeran created more than 100 songs to get 12 tracks on X, and worked with an A-list group of producers including Pharrell, Benny Blanco, Jeff Bhasker, and Rick Rubin.

“It's weird, because they're more polished producers but it's a more raw sound," Sheeran said, according to the Associated Press, "so I think they brought an element of rawness to it."
The new album is likely to make a splash with fans and critics alike. Alexis Petridis of The Guardian, said that X is “an album more obviously influenced by urban music than its predecessor, which sees Sheeran gently, but confidently, pushing at the boundaries of what he does.”
Sheeran moved to London in 2008 to pursue a career in music. He was eventually signed to Asylum Records. His 2011 debut was +1. Sheeran has contributed music for the soundtracks, The Fault in our Stars and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. He won two Brit Awards for Best British Male and British Breakthrough.
