NBC to create miniseries based on the Beatles

The Beatles remain to be one of the most loved music groups of all time despite how long ago it may have been since the band made a record.

Deadline has broken the news for the world to even receive more Beatles than even before as NBC is in the early stages of creating a mini event series, made up of eight episodes, which will tell the story of this incredibly popular foursome. This series is part of the attempt for NBC’s push for event programming in live productions with other features including the live performance of The Sound of Music, Rosemary’s Baby miniseries and a 12 episode follow up to Bible with A.D..

Variety reports that this project will be written by Michael Hirst, creator and executive producer of “The Tudors”, and executively produced by Ben Silverman and Teri Weinberg.

There have been small efforts to document the groups journey including Nowhere Boy back in 2009 which told the story of John Lennon’s early years and then there had been an attempt about Brian Epstein, the Beatles manager called The Fifth Beatle.

Do you think the series will go through?
