Lana Del Rey will release her latest album, Ultraviolence, on June 17.
Del Rey’s lyrics have gotten a mixed review from some critics. With the new album, Del Rey’s isn’t afraid to field questions about difficult concepts like feminism. According to Fader, Del Rey said, “For me, the issue of feminism is just not an interesting concept. Whenever people bring up feminism, I’m like, god. I’m just not really that interested.” She added, “I’m more interested in, you know, SpaceX and Tesla, what’s going to happen with our intergalactic possibilities.”
So much for supporting a challenging discussion. Ultraviolence features audio production by Dan Auerbach and new tracks include the song, “Born to Die.”
Del Rey’s previous studio albums include Lana Del Rey and Born to Die. Extended play albums include Kill Kill, Paradise, and Tropico. Del Rey recently performed at Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding, according to Billboard.
Among her accolades are a GQ Award for “Woman of the Year” and two BRIT Awards for “International Breakthrough Act” and “International Pop Female Solo Artist.”
The new album, Ultraviolence, will be released on June 17 on Interscope/ Polydor UK.
