At Kelly’s, Sam told a shocked Nathan about Nina’s arrival at Danny’s party. She told him that she seemed fine other than being in a wheelchair and that she spent the night at Silas’ apartment.
“Luke” called Julian from his tropical honeymoon with Tracy and told him that he was worried that he was going to have to go after Julian’s daughter next if he didn’t do as he said. Then, Tracy came in and yelled at “Luke” reminding him that there were no cell phones on their honeymoon. He lied and said he was calling Lulu to check up on her since Rocco had a fever and Tracy agreed to let the call slide. After she left, “Luke” told Julian to get back to work. Julian replied that he thought the bust made it a bad idea to continue bringing drugs into town, but “Luke” said the PCPD would think another family picked up the drug trade, pushed him to round up another crew with Jordan and to use his immunity to move the product again. Julian agreed. “Luke” then told Julian that he was looking forward to an hour alone with a hot masseuse when Tracy re-appeared and told him that she had just snagged the last couples’ massage. Julian wished him luck, sarcastically, before hanging up.
Jordan covertly met with Ava in the park to discuss Ric since the higher ups wanted to make sure they had the right person in custody since the public thought the PCPD had botched the investigation and Anna wanted to set the record straight with an iron-clad case. Anna wanted to know how TJ felt about his mom not really being a drug dealer and Jordan admitted she hadn’t seen him since she was released to tell him the truth. Anna then told Jordan that she knew what it felt like to have her family think the worst of her and wondered why Jordan hadn’t told TJ the truth yet. Anna then added that her daughter, Robin, still carried the scars from Anna’s choices. Later, Jordan left a voicemail for TJ begging to talk. Then, Julian showed up and told Jordan that their boss wanted them back to work. She was confused because Ric was in jail. He then told her that their boss wasn’t Ric!
At his apartment, Silas introduced Nina to Kiki, his daughter with Ava, who he didn’t know existed until recently. Nina sadly commented that she was supposed to have his child and then Kiki excused herself. Nina then told Silas that she learned about her miscarriage when she woke up and was devastated. Silas apologized for hurting her with the affair. Then, Nathan arrived and introduced himself as James, her younger brother. Nina was ecstatic! Kiki then dashed out and Silas followed so Nina could catch up with Nathan/James.
Out in the hall, Kiki asked Silas what this meant for him and Sam.
Inside the apartment, Nina was impressed with how handsome Nathan/James had become and asked what he had grown up to be. He told her he was a police detective and had been working her case. He then broke the news that her coma was no accident...that it was Madeline’s fault and that she had spent his whole childhood blaming Silas for Nina’s coma. Nathan then added that Madeline wanted Nina to have a miscarriage because she was afraid the baby would tie her to Silas forever and knew an overdose of the antidepressant Nina was on would do the trick. Nina was devastated. She then replied that she knew people were keeping things from her and didn’t want him to do the same. Nathan then revealed her Madeline wasn’t his biological mother and that she had adopted him from her sister, making Nina his cousin NOT his sister. Nina then replied that she had lost so many things and made him agree that they would always be brother and sister. She went on to say how she couldn’t believe how much had changed, but there was one thing she knew for sure…that she loved Silas and that she would never let him go.
At Sonny’s, Ava told Morgan that she was moving in with Sonny temporarily. Sonny replied that Julian was still after her and that she and the baby needed protection. Morgan didn’t believe them and told Ava to move in him instead, but Sonny pointed out that Morgan lived with Carly. Morgan then grabbed Ava and told her to leave with him right then, but she wouldn’t. He then added that he came there to tell Sonny that he still wanted Ava, but now he didn’t want any part her or the baby anymore. He then stormed out and she cried. She then told Sonny that she didn’t want Morgan to find out the way he did and wished she could have lived at the penthouse with him. Sonny replied that there was no way he was going to let that continue, told her that she would be there for the rest of her life and if Morgan knew what she did (killing Connie and shooting Olivia) he wouldn’t want anything to do with her. She replied that he couldn’t know that for sure so Sonny handed her a phone and told her to call Morgan and tell him what she did. She replied by suggesting that she call Michael instead and tell him that Sonny shot AJ. Sonny replied that she wouldn’t do it.
Silas visited Sam at her place and told her how overwhelmed Nina was feeling and he admitted that he hadn’t told her about them yet. Silas added that he had finally put the past behind him, but Sam told him that everything was different now and that he must feel something for Nina. He replied that Sam was the one he wanted to be with and that he knew everything would work out. Sam replied that she wanted to believe that and he kissed her.
Morgan went to Michael’s apartment and told Kiki that he had decided he could get past Ava’s betrayal and be with her and the baby, but then he found Ava moving in to Sonny’s. He then told Kiki that he was sure they meant more to each other than they were saying. Kiki was shocked then hugged him.
At GH, Brad moaned to Britt about Lucas and Felix. She didn’t bother faking sympathy and stared at Elizabeth hugging Nikolas across the hall. When Nikolas headed for the elevator, Britt tried talking to him, but he snubbed her and left. Britt then told Brad that she blamed Elizabeth for all of this and headed straight to her and starts mocking her for being “thirsty” for a man to rebound with. The women bickered until Diane interrupted and then Britt walked off. Diane then reminded Elizabeth that they had an appointment to discuss Ric’s defense. Elizabeth told her that she had reconsidered hiring her since there was too much evidence against him. Diane replied that the evidence was all circumstantial, but Elizabeth still didn’t want to get involved. "This is all about you," Diane declared. She then explained that Elizabeth was just repeating what had happened with AJ and would regret it. Later, as Diane was leaving GH, Elizabeth gave in and went with her to see Ric at the PCPD.
Meanwhile, Brad went back to ranting about the Lucas situation to Britt. She told him that neither of them was going to get back the people they loved. He then advised her to change her tactics if she wanted Nikolas back and that meant she had to fight dirty. He then told her that it was time to bring the “Britch” back.
Molly was at Kelly's worrying about Ric. Alexis then listed everything Ric was being charged with, but Molly was still sure he was innocent despite Alexis thinking that all of the evidence contradicted that. Molly then screamed at Alexis that she was determined to prove that Ric was innocent and stormed off. She then ran into TJ outside. He said that he didn’t like her getting close to Ric either, but Molly defended Ric and he hoped Ric wasn't like his mom. When TJ mentioned the voicemail Jordan had left him, begging to talk, Molly suggested that he give Jordan a chance.
Back inside Kelly’s, Alexis was talking to Nikolas about Elizabeth. She accused him of clearing the way to get her back.
Ric paced in his cell at the PCPD and thought of Elizabeth. Then, Sonny dropped by and said that he should have killed him when he had the chance. Ric shot back that he was being set up and that Sonny was still in danger. Sonny didn’t believe him and left. Later, Molly showed up. Ric swore to her that he was innocent. She told him that believed him and promised she would do anything she could to get him out. Ric then said that leaving her was the worst thing he ever did.
Upstairs, Duke startled Anna in her office while she was gloating on the phone about her big bust. When she got off the phone, he told her about his trip and then wondered why she had let Julian go. Anna explained that it was part of a deal to get Ric, who was Julian’s boss. Duke wasn’t pleased by her choice. "You didn't choose us," he said, saying that she let Julian go despite all the pain he had put upon them. He was furious, adding that he quit working for Sonny because he thought Julian would finally pay for his crimes, then he stormed out, bumping into Sonny in the other room. Duke then told him that he had something urgent to discuss with him. Sonny assured Duke that Julian “would get his.” Duke then admitted that he doubted that Ric was Sonny’s real enemy.
In the park, Julian informed Jordan that he was back at work thanks to their boss. She was confused since Ric was now behind bars, so he explained that Ric had never been his boss and added why he handed in a scapegoat. He was surprised that she wasn’t eager to get back to work. She replied that she didn’t think it was a wise move right now and demanded to know who they were really working for. Julian refused name their boss so she refused to go back to work. "That'll go over about as well as my attempt to retire," he replied. Then, Jordan caved. As soon as Julian walked off, Jordan called Anna to say they had a problem. They met up and Jordan told Anna That Julian told her that Ric wasn’t really their boss, which meant she had to keep her cover as a drug dealer and couldn’t tell TJ the truth. Moments later, TJ called.
Anna returned to the PCPD to visit Ric in his cell.
At their apartment, Sabrina barely noticed Felix come in, engrossed in writing thank you notes. He told her that no one was expecting her to do that and she was almost offended to think people were concerned about her. Felix that told her that he bought a dress for her to wear to the service. She hugged him and told her that she knew tomorrow was going to be just “perfect.” She then asked him to go to the church and make sure it looked good and he reluctantly left. She opened the box and freaked out over the black dress. "This is wrong!" she cried.
At home, Patrick told his father over the phone about the preparations for baby Gabriel’s memorial service and that Robin wouldn’t be there. Later, Sam came by. He shared with her how hard it was to tell Emma that her baby brother had died. Sam replied that she was in shock when her daughter was stillborn and that having someone to take it out on helped. Patrick then told her that he believed that the person who drove them off the road was at fault for baby Gabriel’s death, but the PCPD was too busy with drug busts and other cases to investigate. Sam replied that she would find out who ran them off the road. As Sam left, Felix came by and told Patrick that something was wrong with Sabrina.
Outside his apartment, Silas left a voicemail for Sam saying he was about tell Nina about them. Inside, he found Nathan and Nina catching up. Nina now knew that Nathan wasn’t really her brother and that her own mother drugged her to cause the miscarriage. Then, Nathan left. Nina then told Silas how Madeline showed up the day she was going to tell him about the baby with pictures of him with Ava. Nina then told him that it didn’t matter because she loved him and knew they could work through it. She then added that if she hadn’t told Madeline about the baby before she told him, they would have a child and 20 years of memories. He then told Nina that none of it was her fault. She then reminisced about his residency and asked if they still have health food stores. He replied that there were now health food grocery stores. She wanted to go shopping with him but didn’t want him wheeling her around in public and said that she wanted to take care of him. She then told Silas that all of her money was in limbo so she felt lucky to have a husband who honored the vows they took…in sickness and in health, richer or poorer, till death do they part. She then kissed him but he broke away and told her there was someone else.
Rafe Jr. did a line of coke in the park and was caught by TJ. TJ thought ratting him out would serve him right for telling Alexis when he and Molly were going to have sex. Rafe Jr. then taunted TJ about his mom saying it all made sense to Rafe Jr. now why TJ got further with Molly since they were all in the family business. Rafe Jr. then punched TJ. TJ taunted Rafe Jr. back about his serial killer father before leaving. Later, Sam ran into Rafe Jr. and he asked what was happening with her and Silas. She told him that she hoped she and Silas would still be together after Nina was back on her feet. Rafe Jr. then wondered why she seemed so down and she told him that she had just come from seeing Patrick. Rafe Jr. was shocked to hear that Patrick and Sabrina’s baby had died. He looked uncomfortable as she blamed the driver who caused the accident. Then, she noticed that he was taking this hard and assured him that she had made it her mission to find the driver because the cops were clueless.
Molly met up with Diane at the PCPD and Elizabeth told Molly that they were all in it together. Then, Nathan showed up much to Diane’s delight. She asked if Elizabeth could see Ric. Nathan left to see what he could do. Elizabeth worried that Ric would think she abandoned him and Molly promised to tell him if she couldn’t. Meanwhile, Anna visited Ric in his cell. She told him that she believed he was being framed, but she couldn’t release him because of the evidence and couldn’t throw out the case or it will alert Julian’s real boss, which could put Molly and Elizabeth’s lives in danger. Ric didn’t want anything to happen to Elizabeth or Molly, but he wanted them to know he was innocent. He begged for Molly and Elizabeth to know the truth and asked Anna to help him. Anna left and Nathan arrived to take him to the courthouse. Ric eyed Nathan’s gun. Anna went upstairs and told Liz and Molly that they could talk to Ric at the courthouse. Suddenly, they all heard a gunshot.
Lulu and Dante met their doctor at GH to see if Lulu carrying a baby was possible. The doctor told Lulu that she may have been misdiagnosed with a similar looking condition that could be corrected. If so, it would be possible for Lulu to carry a baby to term. Later, Lulu was ready to have the procedure. Dante told het that he wanted this for them, but was afraid it might not ever happen. He then suggested thinking about it for a bit.
Patrick entered Sabrina’s apartment and she turned around in her full wedding dress and veil. “Well, what do you think?” she asked. She freaked out and made him close his eyes while she put on a robe. He kept his distance as she rambled, confused about the black dress Felix had brought her. Eventually, he stopped her and explained that the dress was for the funeral. She continued babbling about their wedding and insisted that no one had died. "Our baby died," he said, but she was in denial. He then recapped the past year, but she refused to accept what happened. Patrick then told her about baby Gabriel’s death in detail. She broke down into tears and begged him to bring their baby back. He tearfully told her that he couldn't.
At Silas' apartment, he explained to Nina that he was seeing Sam. Nina was mortified, but didn't blame him for moving on. She then asked if he loved the other woman. He told Nina that he loved her when he was with Ava and spent twenty years pushing away all other women, that he was even cold to Sam for a long time, but eventually admitted that he had feelings for her. Nina was happy for him. Silas then admitted that he realized he loved Sam only when Madeline told him that Nina was dead. She wished she'd called him earlier and blamed her mom for everything. She then added that they're chance was gone so she decided to go and live with Nathan. She didn't understand how cell phones worked so she couldn't call him. Silas then told her that she could stay there. Nina didn’t think that was fair to Sam, but he barks that his mind was made up.
At the PCPD, Diane ordered Anna to let Molly see Ric. Then, shots rang out. Everyone dropped and Anna rushed off. Molly worried that someone was trying to kill Ric. Elizabeth worried that it was the person framing Ric. Anna returned and explained that there was a struggle and Nathan had to shoot Ric and that Ric was dead. Nathan paid her condolences. Molly then ran off with Elizabeth and they saw Nathan with a body bag. "Daddy why?" Molly cried. Anna then put Nathan on administrative leave. Elizabeth tried comforting Molly. Anna followed the body bag as it was wheeled into the morgue. Once she was alone, she opened it and Ric opened his eyes.
Maxie and Levi were doing yoga. He noticed she was distracted. She told him that she kicking herself for avoiding Patrick when his baby was dying. Maxie then talked about how unfair his baby’s death was. Levis replied that it was sad, but said that was how the universe had planned it. She thought that was a crock and it was senseless. He thought she sounded like Nathan and walked off. As Maxie took a walk, she found Nathan sitting on a bench, looking upset. They both had a lousy day so he asked her to go and get a drink.
Duke dropped by Sonny's and they discussed Julian's release. Sonny then asked Duke if he wanted to come back to work for him. Duke replied that he would like to but couldn't. However, he was happy to listen. Sonny then spilled about Ava killing Connie and that couldn’t tell Morgan what really happened because news that he killed AJ would get to Michael. Sonny then told Duke that he needed to do what was best for his children. "As soon as the baby's born, the truth dies with Ava," he said.
Britt and Brad are at the Floating Rib arguing about Nikolas. The prince strolls in. Britt stares and Brad nags her to go and talk to Nik. She's about to leave when the prince stops her and apologizes, assuring he knows she did all she could to save the baby. That means a lot to her since he hates her. Nikolas says he doesn't hate her. She thinks that could be a start for them. The news report about Ric's shooting comes on. Nikolas runs off to find Liz. Over at their table, Maxie asks Nathan if he really killed Ric. Felix told Lucas that he felt like he needed to take care of Sabrina. "Who is going to take care of you?" Lucas asked. They then hugged. Felix then said that the tragedy was Sabrina and Patrick's and he wept. They hugged again just as Brad arrived and spotted them. He then laid into them until Lucas explained about the baby’s death. Brad then apologized and Felix left to go back to Sabrina. Once Felix was gone, Lucas lectured Brad, who explained that he thought there was something between them worth saving, but Lucas just coldly walked away.
At the morgue, Molly cried to Alexis about Nathan killing Ric. She begged Alexis to let her see her father, but Alexis said that wasn’t possible, but changed her mind after Molly kept begging. Meanwhile, Anna let Ric out of his body bag. He thought this was all terrible. She insisted that he needed to stay “dead” to protect his loved ones and to find out who Julian’s boss really was. They bickered about this until Alexis and Molly arrived at the door. Anna stepped out and told Alexis that Molly shouldn't see Ric because the wounds were so grim, but Molly suck into the room. They ran after her. Thankfully, Ric was hiding. Molly then burst into tears. Once she and Alexis left, Anna got a disguise for Ric. He was shaken from what just happened and was having a hard time leaving. She repeated that this was what he needed to do to keep everyone he loved safe.
At the nurses' station, Obrecht cornered Elizabeth when she got off the elevator and demanded to know where she had been. She then warned her that there was a three strikes policy in place and she could be out on her “keister.” Elizabeth replied that she didn't care and ranted about how she just had to help a girl after her father was killed. She then challenged Obrecht to fire her. "You're fired," Obrecht replied. Then, Nikolas showed up and said that Elizabeth couldn't be fired. Obrecht contradicted that and walked off. Then, Britt arrived and Nikolas lead Elizabeth away. Obrecht spotted her daughter, saw she was upset and offered to help. "Help me get Nikolas back," replied Britt.
