Actors Peter Dinklage, Shia LaBeouf and Hugh Laurie are celebrating their birthdays today.

Actor Peter Dinklage turns 45 today. Dinklage made his film debut in Living in Oblivion, and his breakout role was in the 2003 film The Station Agent. He received Independent Spirit and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Best Actor for his role. He went on to appear in the films Elf, The Station Agent, Penelope, Underdog, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Death at a Funeral.

In 2005, he starred in the short-lived CBS science fiction series Threshold, In 2006, Dinklage appeared in the courtroom drama Find Me Guilty, and episodes of Nip/Tuck. He played himself in one episode of the HBO television series Entourage, and appeared in the NBC series 30 Rock.

Dinklage currently plays Tyrion Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones, an adaptation of author George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. He received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2011, as well as the 2012 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. Dinklage most recently portrayed Bolivar Trask in the film X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In 2005, Dinklage married theater director, Erica Schmidt, and they had their first child in 2011.

Shia LaBeouf, 28

Actor and director Shia LaBeouf turns 28 today. LaBeouf has said that he initially became an actor because his family was broke, not because he wanted to pursue an acting career. He became known among young audiences after playing Louis Stevens on Disney Channel's Even Stevens, earning a Daytime Emmy Award for his role. He went on to star in the film adaption Holes, Constantine, alongside Keanu Reeves, and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints.

LaBeouf made his directorial debut with the short film Let's Love Hate with Lorenzo Eduardo. His breakthrough role was in the 2007 thriller Disturbia. He went on to star in the Transformers trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Eagle Eye and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

LaBeouf has been romantically ties to actresses Carey Mulligan, Isabel Lucas and Megan Fox.

LaBeouf is currently filming with Brad Pitt and Logan Lerman in a David Ayer World War II-set film, Fury. It is scheduled for a November 2014 release date.

Hugh Laurie, 55

Actor, comedian, writer, musician and director Hugh Laurie turns 55 today. Laurie first became known as one-half of the Fry and Laurie comedy double act, along with his friend and comedy partner Stephen Fry. After his comedy run, Laurie made several appearances in the films Sense and Sensibility, Disney's 101 Dalmatians, Maybe Baby, Girl from Rio, The Borrowers and the three Stuart Little films.

From 2004 to 2012, Laurie played Dr. Gregory House in the FOX drama House, for which he received two Golden Globe awards, two Screen Actors Guild awards and six Emmy nominations.

Laurie is also a talented multi-instrumentalist, playing piano, guitar, drums, harmonica and saxophone. Laurie also sings, and has used his musical abilities for his comedy acts. In 1996, Laurie wrote his first novel, The Gun Seller, and is currently working on the film adaptation.

Laurie married theater administrator, Jo Green, in June 1989. They currently live in London with sons Charlie and Bill and daughter Rebecca. Laurie will next appear in the 2015 Disney film Tomorrowland.
