Brian Johnson says that AC/DC will tour this year

Brian Johnson announced that it’s likely that AC/ DC will tour this year. The musician was glad to report that the popular heavy metal act would be seen again on tour.

Johnson said on his racing website that AC/DC are supposed to “lightly” tour. He thanked his friends, saying, “There is the slight distraction of my day job with AC/DC and it looks very likely that we will be on the road again before the end of the year. So stand by for more music – and more Cars That Rock," according to Johnson’s racing website.

Johnson’s show, Cars That Rock, airs on the UK TV Channel, Quest. It is a documentary series that is narrated by Johnson. In it, he drives cars and meets with racing experts.

Johnson has been the lead singer of AC/DC since 1980. He founded the band with Angus Young. The band made news when it was announced that Malcolm Young wasn’t feeling well and might be retiring. Johnson’s latest announcement is a reminder to fans that it looks like AC/DC is back. The band’s albums include Back in Black, For Those About to Rock, Who Made Who, and Black Ice. Black Ice was the last tour in 2010. The band has played at London’s Wembley Stadium and New York’s Madison Square Garden. Johnson also published an autobiography called Rockers and Rollers in 2009.
