Rolling Stones re-start world tour with Oslo show

On Monday, the Rolling Stones played a two hour show at Oslo’s Telenor Arena.

"I saw them in Gothenburg in 1982, and I thought then they seemed old. They didn't seem old tonight," said Jan Martin Schultz, who attended the concert with friends, according to the Associated Press.

The audience cheered to songs like “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” The band also played “Can’t Be Seen,” a song that had only been played by the band 15 years ago, according to the Mirror. The Rolling Stones also played, “You Got the Silver,” from Let It Bleed. They concluded the show with fireworks. There were about 23,000 people in the crowd.

The band stopped their tour in March after Mick Jagger’s girlfriend committed suicide in her New York apartment. Jagger and L’Wren had been in a relationship since 2001. Jagger, 70, and the other members of the Rolling Stones re-scheduled dates in Australia and New Zealand after the tragedy.

The tour marks the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones. They will play another day in Lisbon, Portugal on May 29. The tour has also been scheduled for Zurich, Tel-Aviv, and the Netherlands.
