Ohio Teen takes Great-Grandmother to prom

This week, Ohio teenager Austin Dennison did something so incredible that his good dead has spread all over the web. Austin took his great-grandmother Delores Dennison to her first prom at Parkway High School in Roxford.

According to Times Bulletin, Austin was inspired to take Delores to his senior prom by his government teacher Lucas Minnich, and called up his 88 year old grandmother a couple of months ago to confirm their date. Delores didn’t graduate from her high school in West Virginia and thus missed her own prom.
She told the Time Bulletin, “He said, ‘Grandma, I want you to go to the prom with me.’ I had a bad heart attack and stroke...Finally I said that if I was able to go at that time, I would.”
Austin’s Twitter page blew up with support from friends and admirers, congratulating the young teen for his bravado and class.
One follower said, “A young man mature beyond his years. You are an amazing role model to others. #WellDone.”
The two shared a heartwarming dance together to Frank Sinatra’s “I love the kisses of Delores,” a song her late husband sang to her often.
