HBO officially announces that 'The Comeback' will return

HBO has officially announced that The Comeback will be making a return to viewers television screens.

Deadline reports how The Comeback will return later this year for six episodes. The series stars Friends alum Lisa Kudrow as Valerie Cherish. Kudrow along with Michael Patrick King created The Comeback, which premiered on HBO is 2005. Filming for the revival of the series will begin this month in Los Angeles.

TV Line reveals how The Comeback will resume 10 years later. According to an HBO press release, "Valerie thinks she has it all figured out this time. She doesn't." The Comeback was cancelled after one season due to low ratings. But, since it's cancellation it has gained a huge fan following.

The Wrap tells how Kudrow is excited to be playing the character of Valerie Cherish again. Kudrow says, "It was almost too fun play Valerie Cherish the first time around." She adds, "I look forward to revisiting this resilient and ironically self-unaware character."
