'General Hospital' weekly recap - Week of 5/5-5/9

Ned wasn't thrilled to walk into Luke's office at ELQ and see him behind a pile of cash. He then accused him of embezzling. "Ned, Nedder, Neddest, you could not be more wrong," said “Luke.” Then, Tracy showed up. “Luke” explained that the cash was his nest egg and that he was putting it into the ELQ coffers. Tracy bought this explanation and thought it was a great idea. Yet, Ned still begged her to wait to tie the knot. She replied by kicking him out of the building. He left in a huff as “Luke” smirked. Once Ned was gone, Tracy told “Luke” how great he was. After she left, “Luke” tried calling Julian.

Sabrina showed up at the PCPD and asked Carlos if he really killed AJ. Unwilling to answer in front of everyone, Anna allowed them into the interrogation room to chat. Carlos then got emotional when he heard about Sabrina’s son’s condition. "Ay dios mio! This is my fault!" he said. He then continued claiming that he killed AJ and she couldn’t believe he had lied to her. Carlos then cried and told Sabrina that everything he did, he did for her, but she just stormed out, angry.

Outside the interrogation room, Duke appeared. Anna told him about Carlos’ confession and her feeling that something was off about it. She then told him that she needed to look at AJ's phone, which had been separated from the rest of his personal effects. Duke then got flirty with Anna, who chuckled and then apologized for questioning him over Sonny's alibi. Then, he told her that the Jeromes were been bringing drugs into town and offered to help Anna bring him down. She thanked him for the offer but declined because it would publicize their relationship.

At GH, Franco and Carly guessed that the truth about AJ's murder must be on his phone. They played the recording. It was AJ and Ava talking but the sound kept getting cut off. They did hear Ava pulling a gun and they tried to put the pieces together. They then played more of it and listened to Sonny come in and shoot AJ. "Wow," Franco emoted. Carly still wasn't sure what really happened. Franco suggested giving the recording to Anna so the police’s tech department could fill in the sound gaps, but Carly shot down that idea because it would reveal Sonny's guilt.

Sonny dropped by Kelly's to update Shawn about sending Ava out of town. Sonny then told Shawn how he had sex with Ava and how Morgan found out and was furious with them both. Shawn then headed off to get Ava.

Olivia arrived at Sonny's and found Morgan moving out. Morgan told her that Sonny was lying to her, but then backpedalled and left. Then, Alexis showed up and told Olivia about Ava cheating on Morgan. She thought it was with Silas, but Sam told her that it wasn’t. "It all makes so much sense now," Olivia replied. After Alexis left, Olivia replayed the argument between Sonny and Morgan at The Metro Court in her mind and gasped. When Sonny arrived, Olivia asked him, "Did you have sex with Ava Jerome?"

Julian arrived at the gallery before Ava could pack up and split. He pulled a gun on her and confronted her for betraying him to Sonny. She made excuses, but he ignored them and demanded to know who she cheated on Morgan with so he could send him flowers once she was dead. Ava begged for mercy, but Julian told her that letting her live wasn't up to him. She was surprised to hear that he was taking orders from someone. Julian then explained that either she died or he did and that he was sure that she'd make the same choice. Ava then begged and cried for her life, but before he could pull the trigger, Morgan broke a sculpture over Julian’s head, which knocked him out. Morgan then admitted to Ava that he had ratted her out to Julian and apologized. She replied that she was sorry too and insisted that what happened between her and Sonny was meaningless. She then begged him for forgiveness, which he seemed willing to give until she announced she was headed to Sonny’s island for protection. Morgan then declared that he was finished with both her and Sonny. As they argued, Julian woke up and tried to roll over to grab his gun. Once Morgan was gone, Ava stomped on Julian’s hand and picked up his gun.

Franco and Carly ran into Anna at GH. They told her how they looked for AJ’s phone but came up empty handed. They then insisted on leaving the investigation to the professionals and took off quickly. Anna later found Felix and told him that she was looking for AJ’s phone. He told her that it was in the lost and found and that Carly and Franco found it.

At the gallery, Ava stopped Julian from grabbing the gun and turned it on him instead. Julian told Ava that he had no choice, but she screamed that he did have a choice. Then, Shawn entered and stopped Ava from killing Julian. He then said that he wanted to see Julian dead but they couldn’t kill him for Danny’s sake. She stood down and got ready to leave for the island.

Meanwhile, Julian told Shawn that Ava was the one who shot Olivia. He then wished them both a pleasant evening and took off. Ava admitted she did shoot Olivia, but added, “For the record, I was aiming for Franco.” She then reminded Shawn how volatile Sonny was right now but Shawn refused to keep quiet. Ava threatened to drop the dime on Sonny about AJ’s murder, but if Shawn played ball she wouldn’t have to.

At ELQ, “Luke” left a message for Julian that Ava better be dead. Then, Michael arrived and wondered who had gotten on “Luke’s” bad side. “Luke” played it off as friendly corporate competition and admitted that he was new to the boardroom and was trying to prove himself. Michael then told “Luke” that he wanted to talk about Kiki’s suggestion that ELQ donate money to the Nurses’ Ball in AJ’s honor since the company meant so much to him. Michael thought “Luke” could convince Tracy and “Luke” promised to put in a good word for him. “Luke” asked Michael to give Kiki a big hug from him and then Michael left. Later, Julian came by and told “Luke” that Morgan interfered in Ava’s death, so he told Shawn that Ava shot Olivia. “Luke” wasn’t pleased and promised neither Julian nor Ava was off the hook.

Morgan looked for Michael at his apartment, but Kiki answered instead. Morgan told her that he needed a place to stay and told her that how he found Ava in the crypt after she had sex with Sonny. They both wondered why Ava would do it and over dinner they discussed how Michael was always left to clean up the mess. She thought Morgan should stay somewhere else because Michael had been leaning on Sonny so much since AJ’s death and she didn’t want anything to come between them and the progress they were making at being brother again. Morgan replied that he wanted Michael to know what kind of man Sonny was, but she asked him to wait to tell him. Then, Michael arrived and noticed Morgan’s bag. Morgan then told him that he was moving in with Carly. Morgan After Morgan left, Kiki asked about her donation idea. Michael told her that “Luke” said that he would try to convince Tracy and commented about what a great guy he is.

At home, Olivia asked Sonny if he had sex with Ava since he never explained to her why Morgan and Ava broke up, and now she wanted to hear it. She thought Ava had slept with Silas, but she told Sonny that Morgan told Alexis that wasn’t who Ava slept with and Sam confirmed it wasn’t Silas. Sonny stayed silent and then she screamed for the truth. “Yeah, I did,” he yelped. He then told her that it wasn’t deliberate and Ava was the only one who understood what he was going through at that time. Olivia was beside herself. “Did she grow up with you? Did she have your baby when she was 15 years old?” she bellowed back at him. Sonny then promised that it would never happen again and begged her to stay, but she told him that she never wanted to see his face again.

Mac went to see Maxie at her apartment with a full rack of ribs, interrupting her yoga session. She accused him of trying to break her commitment to veganism, but he was just glad to spend time with her alone without Levi policing everything she said. He then told her how he was afraid that she was changing too much for Levi. Maxie replied by telling Mac that she used to make all the wrong choices and that when she met Levi, she was at rock bottom, but he helped her see she could become a better person. Yet, she told Mac about the dreams she used to have about Mac and Cheese and gave in. Then they talked about how they both missed Robin and how they hated that she was missing the Nurses’ Ball. Maxie then added that she was excited this year because she wasn’t pregnant, wasn’t keeping a soul-shattering secret and Robin was alive. It was a “trifecta of positives” she told Mac as he hugged her.

At Kelly’s, Carly and Franco worried that they’d never get a clear answer of what happened the night AJ died. They then went over what they did know and couldn’t figure out what AJ was accusing Ava of. Then, Carly’s phone rang and it was Anna. She left a voicemail that indicated that she knew they had AJ’s phone and Franco suggested they leave town.

At Wyndemere, Cameron upset Spencer with the news he would be dancing the Tango with Emma at the Nurses’ ball. Meanwhile, Ric arrived to pick up Elizabeth and Cameron, which surprised Nikolas. Later, Spencer told Nikolas that he had lost Emma and would never get her back. Nikolas tried to make him feel better, but Spencer replied that he knew he and Emma were meant to be. Nikolas then told him that sometimes meant to be is just not meant to be.

At home, Maxie was surprised by Nathan’s dance moves for the Nurses’ Ball. He then brought up her request that he move out and she told him that was Levi’s idea. He then said that he thought she was full of Levi’s ideas. Maxie insisted that she still had her own thoughts, but Nathan replied that he hadn’t seen them since she’d been back. Then, Levi emerged and thought the atmosphere was “radioactive.” He then asked Nathan to leave, but Maxie chimed in and said that whatever decision she made was hers and no one else’s, and that Nathan could stay. She then added that she couldn’t wait to watch him make a fool out of himself at the Nurses’ Ball. Levi then told her that they weren’t going. She defended the ball, but Levi thought there were more authentic ways to help people. She agreed and decided to stay home with Levi.

Kiki caught Michael practicing his dance moves in his apartment for the Nurses’ Ball. She then told him that she had a surprise for him too and hustled him off to the shower, but they were interrupted by a knock at the door. It was Ned, who wanted Kiki’s help in saving Tracy from “Luke.” He told Kiki that he was sure “Luke” was going to bring both Tracy and ELQ down, but Kiki thought “Luke” was on to them. Then, Michael overheard Ned ask her to make another pass at “Luke.” Michael was confused about what was going on, so Kiki had to tell him about “Luke’s” aggressive advances. Michael was livid and wanted to go find “Luke,” but Ned stopped him because he had another idea.

“Luke” romanced Tracy at Kelly’s and told her how glad he was that she didn’t listen to any of Ned’s concerns. Then, Bobbie arrived and wanted to know why “Luke” never told her he was getting married. He passed it off as being drunk on love and she wished them congrats. Then, Scott showed up for breakfast with Bobbie. “Luke” looks concerned at Bobbie and Scott’s closeness, but Scott replied that he thought they had gotten closer after their time together at Miscavige. Then, Scott and Bobbie grabbed their own table and Scott asked Bobbie to be his date for the Nurses’ Ball. “Absolutely not,” she replied. She added that she knew he was hurting and was only looking to make Lucy hurt too. Scott denied her accusation and said he was ready for a fresh start and begged Bobbie to give them another shot. She then agreed to go with him. Meanwhile, “Luke” told Tracy about Michael’s donation request and Tracy was on board. “Luke” replied that he wasn’t so sure considering AJ killed Connie and wanted her to turn down Michael’s request. She agreed to do so and he asked her to break the news to Michael herself so he had time to work on his surprise for the ball.

At GH, Epiphany offered Felix the day off, but Obrecht arrived and put the kibosh on that plan. She told them that she was released, and was free to resume all off her Chief of Staff duties since she had the power to shut the whole place down. She then told them that the hospital was on the edge of financial ruin, and Obrecht made sure they had the millions to save it. Then, Epiphany and Felix realized that was how she bought her position as Chief of Staff and without her the hospital would be shut down. Then, Obrecht left and Epiphany and Felix worried that she would interfere with the ball.

At The Metro Court, Mac practiced his Mr. Marbles routine. There was a resounding agreement from Lucy, Duke, Kevin, Anna, Felicia and Emma that it wasn’t good and Felicia asked Mac to drop it. Later, Kevin asked Lucy what was wrong and she was upset when he made a joke about leaving her over Mr. Marbles. He then said that he knew that she would never leave him for another man and she rushed back to work.

Meanwhile, Anna told Duke that Carly and Franco seemed to have skipped town. She also told him about Obrecht’s immunity. Later, Kevin asked Mac and Felicia if Lucy was acting strange and they played it off as pre-Nurses’ Ball stress.

Later, Obrecht arrived. She told them that as GH’s Chief of Staff, her investment made the ball possible…or not. They all looked concerned until Obrecht said that she didn’t want to shut it down…she wanted to be in it! Lucy told her it was too late because the lineup was all set and everyone left the room. Once she was alone, Obrecht told Mr. Marbles that she knows how he feels, but that they’ll show them…no one puts Obrecht in a corner.

Shawn and Sonny met at the office before the ball. Shawn told Sonny that Jordan was joining their table for TJ’s sake. Sonny told Shawn that he wasn’t going, but Shawn encouraged Sonny to go and fight for Olivia.

At home, as Nathan was getting ready to leave for the ball, he asked Maxie if she was having second thoughts about not coming, but she insisted that it was her decision to stay home. She then added that she just happy to spend a romantic night alone with Levi eating raw kale.

At Wyndemere, Spencer asked Nikolas to invite Britt over, but Nikolas told him they were through for good. Spencer then assumed that Nikolas would then marry Elizabeth, but Nikolas told him that was ridiculous. Then, Elizabeth entered, dressed to the nines. Nikolas complimented her and offered to have his driver bring her home from the Nurses’ Ball, but she told him that Ric was picking her and Cameron up. Nikolas then told her that he hoped she has a good time and Elizabeth told him that he could still come along. Nikolas declined saying that “galas have left a bad taste in his mouth.” Meanwhile, Cameron needled Spencer about his boring evening home with Nikolas before leaving with Elizabeth. Later, Nikolas ordered pizza and Spencer thought about what Cameron said.

Lucy scrambled to get dressed backstage at the ball. Then, Felicia entered, accessorized with an Aztec heirloom she only wore on special occasions. Felicia then asked Lucy if things were over between her and Scott and Lucy said that they were, though she still missed him. She then added that she was just glad Kevin didn’t find out. Kevin overheard Lucy say this, but Felicia covered by telling him that Lucy was planning a surprise number dedicated to him. He replied that he was excited to see it and after he left Lucy freaked out because she had no surprise number planned. Felicia was sure Lucy would think of something.

Outside, the red carpet coverage was underway. Olivia was questioned by the host before she got dressed about whether Sonny would escort her, so she excused herself as guests began to arrive. Sam entered with Silas, but tripped and fell. Silas assured her that no one was watching but Sam knew better. Alexis and Julian were next to arrive, it being their first outing as an official couple to the public. Next up was TJ and Molly, followed by Shawn and Jordan. Tracy and fiancé “Luke” were next. Michael and Kiki entered with Ned, who had to hold Michael back from attacking “Luke.” Ned then reminded Michael of their plan, which was going down tonight. Then, a now dressed Olivia grabbed Ned to walk with her down the red carpet and the host asked if there was trouble in paradise because Sonny wasn’t escorting her. Then, Sonny appeared and Olivia sparred with him on camera. Then, Dante and Lulu arrived and quickly escorted Sonny and Olivia inside. Next, Felix and Lucas both came stag and decided to walk the carpet together. Elizabeth arrived with Ric, followed by Anna and Duke, who was in a full Scottish kilt. Epiphany and Nathan walked the red carpet together, then Felicia, Mac, and Mr. Marbles. Felicia was questioned about the Aztec necklace before Lucy appeared with Kevin. Scott and Bobbie were next, and Scott and Lucy locked eyes. Then, Kevin commented that he was glad to see that Scott was moving on from Laura and wished him and Bobbie a good night. Kevin could tell Lucy was rattled, but hoped she wanted Scott to be happy.

Inside, Epiphany got ready for her number while Nathan broke the news to Felicia and Mac that Maxie wasn’t coming.

Meanwhile, Cameron texted Spencer and Emma hoped he wasn’t taunting him because she chose him because he’s the nice one and Spencer was mean.

Later, Olivia told Dante that Sonny was “a two-timing low life.” Lulu ran after her while Dante asked Sonny if he cheated on his mother. Sonny told him that it meant nothing. Dante couldn’t believe Sonny had broke Olivia’s heart for nothing, then joined Lulu and Olivia at their table as the ball began.

Lucy took the stage and welcomed everyone to the 20th anniversary of the Nurses’ Ball. She then introduced the first act, the GH nurses with Epiphany, Elizabeth and Felix front and center. Then, Obrecht interrupted with a sexy cabaret routine, compete with nurses in lingerie.

Britt watched the Ball coverage at Brad’s place, wallowing in ice cream. At first Brad was offended she would assume he wanted to watch the red carpet fashion because he was gay, but he quickly got into it, laughing when Sam tripped it, rewinding it over and over. They briefly turned it off when Dante and Lulu arrived, then clicked it back on in time to see Lucas and Felix enter together. Later, they were floored by Obrecht’s surprise performance.

Back at Wyndemere, Spencer suggested that he and Nikolas get dressed and go to the Ball.

Back at home, Levi caught Maxie watching the red carpet and turned it off for “her own good.” He wanted her to think about all the money that would be better off donated to the charity directly. She said that she understood his point, which was why she’d only watch for 10 minutes. Later, they ate their kale and he asked her to be honest about the red carpet. She admitted that she loved it and he suggested they get dressed and go to the Ball saying that he “couldn’t put a price” on seeing her smile. She hugged him, ecstatic, then ran off to get dressed.

Britt and Brad are shocked to see that her mom had crashed the Nursesꞌ Ball. Brad wasn't happy to see his ex with Felix. He was then determined to go to the Ball, but Britt didn't want to.

Spencer nagged Nikolas about going to the Ball and he eventually caved in. As soon as Nikolas went to get dressed, Spencer started making calls to his grandma. Nikolas then caught him dancing and wondered what was up. Spencer then ran off and got dressed in a special suit with glittering lapels.

At the Ball, Obrecht told the audience that the celebration was all thanks to her financial support. She started bickering with Anna until Lucy rushed her off the stage. She then calls Kiki and her friends up to perform their number. Tracy and Luke cringed. Kiki, Elizabeth, Lucas and Felix sang Pink’s song “Raise Your Glass” with some nurses and kicked balloons around the stage. When the performance ended, Obrecht started nagging Dante about removing her ankle monitor now that he and Lulu had their embryo. Nathan then dragged her away. She told him that she wished he would call her ꞌmutterꞌ but he refused to ever do so. Lucy then announced that Ned was performing next. Ned hits the stage with his band as Eddie Maine. Once he finished, he joins Tracy at her table. She told him his performance was wonderful and she would always love him.

Meanwhile, Anna wandered out past the Yoplait banners and ran into Nathan. She offered him some pointers on dealing with his mother if he needed them. He thanked her, but declined her offer and chose to hang out by the red carpet when Anna went back inside. Then, Maxie strolled in alone. She and Nathan stared at each other for a second and he told her how beautiful she looked. Then, Levi arrived in his jacket and flip flops. He bickered with Nathan until Nathan left. Mac and Felicia saw them next.

Meanwhile, Britt and Brad showed up and caught Lucas chatting with Felix in a corner. The three men bickered then Britt suggested they stop all the righteousness. Then, Bradꞌs exes walked off to get ready for their next performance. "When did they become Siegfried and Roy?" Brad complained.

“Luke” was the next person to appear on stage. Everyone was a little confused as he performed. After a round of applause, he then told the audience that he planned to marry Tracy right then and there. Tracy was floored. Ned started looking for a way to stop this. “Luke” then declared that Lucy could legally officiate the ceremony. Kiki and Michael were in shock. “Luke” got Lulu to stand up for him and requested that Ned stand up for Tracy. Reluctantly, Ned agreed. Lucy then brought everyone on stage. They then ran through an abbreviated ceremony. Ned whispered to Tracy to back out, but she didn't. As they were declared husband and wife, “Luke” takes a last glance around the room at all the other “hot women” and told himself to seal the deal for ELQ. As everyone clapped, Ned assured Kiki that “Luke” would be sorry he ever laid a hand on her.

Meanwhile, Dante followed Sonny outside and confronted him about cheating on Olivia. Sonny didn't want to talk about it.

Then, Felix, Lucas, Michael, Nathan and Milo came out to perform their strip routine while Brad pouted. After the performance ended, Lucy returned to the stage to announce that Blackie Parrish was up next.
