Ferragamo launches their new handbag, the Fiamma

At a dinner on Tuesday night at Casa Lever, Ferragamo has launched a new handbag called the Fiamma.

Ferragamo launched the handbag in conjunction with the screening of a L’Icona film, according to Forbes. An online short film celebrated generations of women from high profile families, including Mariel Hemingway and her daughter Langley Hemingway Fox.

Actress Mariel Hemingway said she admires Ferragamo and was glad to sign on to the project. Hemingway told the Associated Press, "The point of fashion is not for people to walk the red carpet. It is so people can live their lives looking fashionable, stylish and beautiful in any realm they work in."

Artist Neville Wakefield curated the launch. Fiamma bags in fall colors were displayed throughout the space. Pink and white flowered centerpieces filled the room.

The new handbag is named after Fiamma Ferragamo, the daughter of Salvatore Ferragamo, who was a “fashion force.” The handbag is inspired by a 1990s Fiamma Ferragamo design.

Karolina Kurkova, Lily Aldridge, Alexandra Richards, and Fabiola Beracasa attended the event.
