Brantley Gilbert releases his new album, Just What I Am, on Valory.
Gilbert says that the entire record defines where he is musically, and it looks at the range of what he considers. Gilbert is image conscious, and he admits to liking tattoos and motorcycles and everything that contributes to his ‘bad boy’ image. The first song on the album is “If You Want a Bad Boy.” He told Radio.com, “I got the bad boy thing going on. I’m not so sure what I did that was so ‘bad’…. Well, actually, I do. But that was a long time ago. I’m rehabilitated, I like to think, for the most part [laughs].”
Other songs on the album include “Bottoms Up,” “Hometown,” and “My Faith in You.” Gilbert co-wrote the 11 tracks on the album, according to Associated Press. Gilbert’s song, “Small Town Throwdown,” features Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett. The song recently charted at #38 on the Billboard charts. According to Headline Planet, “Small Town Throwdown” was played 975 times.
