Bill Murray bestows heartfelt advice during surprise bachelor party visit

Iconic funny man Bill Murray made an unforgettable appearance this Memorial Day Weekend when he crashed a South Carolina bachelor party to deliver a profound speech on dating for the single men of the group.

A video of the event was first uploaded to Deadspin by party-goer Stephen. Apparently the group of Boston College alums were out celebrating their friend E.J.’s bachelor party when one of them noticed Murray at a steakhouse in Charleston.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Murray resides in the S.C. area and owns baseball minor league team the Charleston Riverdogs. After two failed attempts to reach out to the comedian, Murray later walked into the celebration and imparted a few words of wisdom.
Murray began, “You know how funerals are not for the dead, they’re for the living? Bachelor parties are not for the groom, they’re for the uncommitted.”
The 63 year old actor then challenged the bachelors to do something extraordinary for those lucky ladies they consider to be “the one,” like fly around the world, stating, “And if when you come back to JFK…and you’re still in love with that person, get married at the airport.”
Murray finished by hoisting E.J. up in the air.
