A video clip of abducted girls in Nigeria has surfaced

A video clip on You Tube shows the Nigerian schoolgirls abducted on April 14 praying in Arabic.

The video is 1.25 minutes long. The clip shows 100 girls praying under a tree and reciting Muslim prayers. More than 300 girls were abducted from a Nigerian school. They were taken from the school by Boko Haram militants, according to Reuters.

The video was received on Monday. Sources believed that the video was received through channels created by a Boko Haram leader, according to the Associated Press. Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau speaks on the clip in the Hausa language of northern Nigeria. The clip features girls praying in Arabic while a militant Shekau, wears fatigues and holds an AK-47. In the video, he says he will hold the girls while you detain his brothers.

The international community has expressed outrage about the inability to rescue the girls. Nigeria has sent two army divisions to find the girls, and is currently accepting assistance from other countries, including the United States and Great Britain.
