Woman's body found in Lake Charles, believed to be missing doctor Teleka Patrick

On Sunday morning, a local fisherman called the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department after he spotted a suspicious floating object, allegedly the dead body of a woman believed to be missing doctor Teleka Patrick from Michigan, in Lake Charles in Porter, Indiana.

According to Detroit Free Press, after authorities received the call around 7 a.m., the SCUBA team arrived and located a female dressed in dark clothing. It is not known if the body is Patrick, however her car was found abandoned in the same area.

In the case of the missing doctor, authorities looked to her boyfriend, James Davis, who pointed them in the direction of gospel singer, Marvin Sapp, who she had an obsession with. Davis said that Patrick was “scared for her life,” although Sapp was the one with the restraining order against her, according to Liberty Voice.

Patrick’s family has only commented on the subject to ask for their privacy, and to continue the prayers.

An autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
