5. The battle begins
By the 5th season, Alicia knows she can’t control her feelings for Will while working with him every day. Cary talks her into leaving the firm with him and the 4th year associates to start their own firm. Alicia surprisingly agrees. She wants to leave immediately. Logistics cause a three-week delay where those leaving have to keep quiet and pretend nothing is going on. Diane finds out and tells Will, to his complete shock, dismay and extreme anger.
