Prince is one of the most influential artists of his generation, and revered as one of the best guitar players of all time. Also, one of the smartest businessmen as well. In a landmark deal with his old label Warner Bros., which he famously denounced in 1996 writing the word “slave” on his cheek during a performance, Prince will reissue his classic Purple Rain soundtrack as a deluxe edition for the album’s 30th anniversary. The Purple One will also be releasing a new album on the label sometime in the near future.
