Russell Crowe talks about his newfound admiration for Tom Fletcher from McFly

Russell Crowe can’t stop talking praising Tom Fletcher from the U.K. pop band McFly and how the internet allows people to share great personal moments.

Crowe has recently discovered the YouTube video of posted by Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna, where they capture a progression of their pregnancy called “From Bump to Buzz.”

“This guy Tom McFly, right,” Crowe said according to Hello Magazine, in which Giovanna also blogs for. “I’ve seen two of his things, one is where he recently had the baby and did a time lapse thing of his wife getting bigger and bigger and bigger and then going off having the baby and coming back within a three-minute time lapse.”

The actor shared that he greatly admires the couple and shares that he thinks Fletcher is one of the richest men on Earth, despite not knowing the singer and guitarist previously to the YouTube video. He explained particularly when he came across Fletcher’s other viral video, his wedding speech.

“But then led me to a video of his wedding speech and song and I sat and watched that and what came to my mind was I’ve just met one of the richest men in the world,” Crowe said to Magic FM according to Press Party. “That man has such a rich internal life that gave me deep pleasure to watch those things.”

Crowe also gushed that he believes Fletcher is “incredibly special” and stated that he’d be interested to see what Fletcher posts in the future on YouTube particularly because the internet does something that he doesn’t get from television or radio. In comparison, Crowe stated that television and radio, “…doesn’t touch on that kind of experience.”
