Ross Mathews signs two-year deal to stay with E!

Ross Mathews has signed a new deal that will keep him at E! for two more years.

The Wrap exclusively reports how Mathews closed a two year deal to stay at E!. Mathews' new deal comes after news came out that Chelsea Handler is leaving E! at the end of the year. Mathews currently hosts his own late night talk show on E! called Hello Ross, which is produced by Handler's production company. Mathews also does coverage for E! on the red carpet at major events. Last year, Mathews earned a nomination at the People's Choice Awards for Favorite New Talk Show. Mathews, got his start as an intern on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, where he was given the nickname "Ross the Intern."

As previously reported, Handler is leaving E! and ending her late night talk show Chelsea Lately after being with the network for eight years. Handler has been very vocal about her displeasure with E!. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Handler told Howard Stern that E! has no idea what direction they are going in. Handler said, "They don’t know what they’re doing. They have no ideas. It’s a failure."
