Philadelphia Flyers win game 2 against the rangers and tie the series

After dominating the Flyers in game one, The New York Rangers took a step back after losing game two, 4-2 on Sunday.

Ray Emery stepped in as the Flyers goalie for injured Mason and made 31 saves during the afternoon game at the Garden, reports CBS Sports.

St. Louis and Puliot gave the Rangers an early two-goal lead but Voracek quickly put the Flyers on the board at 14:14 of the first period.

The second period brought Akeson a power play goal and the opportunity to tie the game. Schenn scored off a rebound and put the Flyers ahead of the game with his goal, which also broke the nine-game losing streak for the Flyers at the garden, according to Philly.com

The Rangers had a chance at a late comeback when the score was 3-2, but received a foolish and sloppy penalty for having too many men on the ice.

With an open net and 25.4 seconds on the clock, Wayne Simmonds sent the puck down the ice and directly into the empty net, solidifying their 4-2 win.

Game three will take place Tuesday night at 8 p.m. in Philadelphia.
