'Neighbors' actor Zac Efron talks about his struggle with addiction

Actor Zac Efron is opening up about his struggle with addition, and the lessons learned as he is continuing forward.

Efron was the star of High School Musical and Neighbors. The popular actor is beginning to discuss his difficulties with drugs and alcohol and what he calls a “never-ending struggle.” He talks about how he joined AA, and got himself on a road he prefers. Efron says that he is also seeing a therapist, according to the Daily Mail.

Efron, 26, says that he attended rehab twice last year and spent time confronting the issues that made him uncomfortable in his own skin. He says that things are more under control now.

He spoke about some of his challenges including his struggles involving dating. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Efron said, “of falling in love, of searching for love and being there for your friends when they need you. There's no question that to receive anything great, like love or respect, or to better yourself, you have to give a piece of yourself away."
