A man from Missouri was charged for shooting at cars on a highway in Kansas City. He received 18 felony counts on behalf of nine separate incidents since March. The shootings began on March 8, and some drivers weren't aware that shots were being fired at them.
Mohammed Whitaker, 27, has been revealed as the suspect, according to NBC News. Whitaker lives in Grandview, which is south of Kansas City. He was tracked down by police officers after they received tips from the public.
Of the 18 counts, Whitaker is being charged with two counts of shooting into a motor vehicle and striking someone. Nine of them are for armed criminal action, and the remaining seven are for shooting into a motor vehicle.
Nobody was killed in these shootings, but three of them were injured after being shot in the leg or the arm. None of these injuries were life-threatening.
Whitaker is being held on $1 million bond, according to CNN.
