Joel McHale says that he won’t be replacing Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show'

As fans say goodbye to Craig Ferguson, rumors abound about who might be a potential replacement for the coveted role of host of The Late Late Show. Joel McHale fielded rumors about replacing Craig Ferguson.

McHale says that no one has called him. According to HowardStern.com, McHale claims that he hasn’t even been contacted to replace Craig Ferguson.

McHale has been busy with a number of projects, though. According to UPI, McHale has been acting on Community. He stars as Jeff Winger on the show. Community airs on NBC while The Late Late Show airs on a rival network, CBS.

The comedy has been a hit with fans over the years. Community is wrapping season five, but it doesn’t look like they are getting a season six renewal. McHale is still set to host The Soup which offers brand new episodes on Wednesdays at 10PM.

McHale will also host the White House Correspondents Dinner. This special occasion in Washington, DC, will happen later this week on May 3.
