Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is seeing his NFL draft stock plummet, but there is still hope for him to redeem it. The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to host a second visit for him next week. Bridgewater will also have a private workout with the Jaguars.
The Jaguars are in need of a quarterback after struggling at the position with Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne, and Bridgewater is looking to capitalize on that need.
According to Sports Illustrated, Bridgewater is expected to slide down to the bottom of the first round or early in the second round.
The Jaguars may be able to grab him in the second round after drafting a blue-chip prospect such as Jadeveon Clowney or Sammy Watkins in the first round. They may surprise everyone and take him with the third overall pick though.
Despite his recent struggles, Bridgewater has flashed NFL potential at Louisville. He completed 71 percent of his passes in his junior season, according to ESPN. He also threw 31 touchdown passes against only four interceptions.
